Tom leads X’s effort to develop and deploy wireless optical communications to areas of the world in need of internet access. A technologist at heart and by training, before joining X Tom was instrumental in the development of the DOCSIS™ cable modem – a device used all over the worldwide to deliver high speed Internet access on cable networks. Tom was also the founder and CEO of WildBlue Communications, a satellite-based broadband service provider, and following its acquisition, served as a Senior Vice President at ViaSat. Today he serves on the Board at University of Colorado as an advisor to their Telecommunications Program.
